Looking to build your own Turbo R chassis? Metalwerx has your solution. After much interest, we've modified our Pro R chassis to accept the Turbo R drivetrain. This kit was designed to be builder friendly without the need for complex jigs. All bulkheads/mounts are tabbed, slotted, and are self locating allowing anyone to assemble it at home. Along with being builder friendly, this kit was designed to withstand the harshest abuse possible. All tube is 1.75" DOM .120" wall with .135" and .188" bulkheads which is what we use in our race builds. This kit retains factory geometry and comes with mounts for front and rear differentials, steering rack, suspension components, engine/trans, and the option for front shock mounts. With a 7" boatside and an outside measurement of 53.75", this chassis was designed to work well in the biggest rocks and still have plenty of room for you and your passenger. Turbo R Chassis Lower
Assembled chassis are a large item and require freight shipping which is not cheap nor reliable. I STRONGLY, and I cannot emphasize that word enough... STRONGLY recommend picking up your chassis in person. All chassis and chassis kits are subject to an additional fee on top of the shipping rate decided upon by the carrier. Flat packed kits are an additional $300 and all fully welded kits/chassis are an additional $600. This additional fee will be invoiced along with the shipping fee at the time of the shipment. Please understand that it takes time and materials to properly secure these items for shipment. Please also understand that the crating of these items will add an additional week to your lead time plus the time it takes for the carrier to pick up and ship which is almost never immediate. These are built on an "as needed" basis and I do not keep these in stock. Lead times are dependent on my current workload and cannot be calculated. For each lower, start to finish, it takes roughly two weeks for the entire process. Every project will be completed in order with no exceptions.
